New Orleans Saints Key Stats
Through most of this season, an Under involving the New Orleans Saints has been a virtual guarantee. The Under hit in their first six games. One of their games finally went Over last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This season has been a frustrating one to watch for Saints fans. New Orleans’ biggest acquisition in the offseason was QB Derek Carr. At times, he did not make their offense look much better than last season.
However, there is an argument to be made that Carr is starting to settle in. He has had 654 passing yards and two touchdown passes in his last two games. Carr had under 200 passing yards in each of his prior three games.

The Colts’ defense could be a good chance to continue this trend. They rank 30th in the NFL in points allowed per game (27.3).
This season, New Orleans has been a very difficult team to back against the spread. They are just 1-5-1 there. Sunday could be an opportunity for the Saints to make bettors some money finally.
Indianapolis Colts Key Stats
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Colts have been one of the best teams for Over bets this season. Five of their first seven games this season have gone Over.
There has been an average of 67 points scored in their last two games. Their defense has been putrid in this stretch, allowing an average of 38 points per game.
The biggest news regarding Indianapolis is the fact that QB Anthony Richardson is on the injured reserve list with a shoulder injury.

However, the offense has barely skipped a beat with QB Gardner Minshew. He has 1,187 passing yards and five touchdown passes so far.
The main problem Minshew has faced is protecting the football. He has four interceptions and four fumbles in the last two games. Considering the Colts lost these two games, Minshew needs to do a better job protecting the football.
Game Prediction
Defense is the big separator here. The Saints allow just over 18 points per game, while the Colts allow over 27 points per game.

I think that is what this game is going to come down to. Indianapolis does not have a great defense, and Derek Carr is trending in the right direction. I am going back to New Orleans here.
Final Pick
New Orleans Saints +1.5 (-110)
