The Minnesota Vikings have certainly not gotten a break when it comes to injuries this year. During Week 16, there were real fears that they would lose yet another offensive weapon. Unfortunately, the latest update only confirms this.
T.J. Hockenson Is Out for the Season
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, it has been confirmed that Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson is out for the season. He is dealing with a torn ACL and MCL. However, the news gets even worse for Hockenson and the Vikings. Due to these injuries, there is real concern that Hockenson may not make it back for the start of the 2024 NFL season.
Hockenson put up some great numbers during the 2023 NFL season. Just how good were those numbers? He has 960 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions in 2023.
Minnesota Vikings Moving Forward
What does this mean for the Minnesota Vikings? It means they have yet another injury to deal with. The Vikings already lost starting QB Kirk Cousins for the season due to a torn Achilles.
Also, star WR Justin Jefferson missed significant time earlier this season due to a hamstring injury. Now, the Vikings will have to win a crucial game against the Green Bay Packers without yet another offensive weapon.
