NFL Fans Erupt Over Aaron Rodgers Shamelessly Throwing Teammate Under The Bus

NFL fans could not believe that Aaron Rodgers threw his teammate under the bus after another game-ending interception that he threw in their Monday night loss to the Buffalo Bills.

The New York Jets were in a position to get a huge victory on Monday night but because of many reasons, penalties, missed field goals, turnovers, and interceptions to name a few, they were not able to come away with the win. Following the game, their quarterback blamed a receiver for the loss.

NFL Fans Roast Aaron Rodgers For Throwing Mike Williams Under

Rodgers was trying to get the ball to his receiver Mike Williams on the game-ending interception, and the very same thing happened last week for an interception to lose the game as well. In the post-game media conference, Rodgers threw shade at his receiver, and what do you know, now Williams is being shopped for trades:

“There’s two verticals, Allen’s down the seam and Mike’s down the redline… so I’m throwing a no look to the redline. When I peak my eyes back there Mike’s running an ‘in-breaker’ … it’s gotta be down the redline,” Rodgers said.

Fans are roasting Rodgers on social media, as this is yet another example of Rodgers’ ‘incredible leadership’:

“I’m trying to remember a time I’ve heard Mahomes throw his teammates under the bus. Williams was underthrown on a poor decision and yet it’s not Rodgers fault,” one tweet read.

“Rodgers done being a good teammate at this age. Gotta make sure he’s not at fault,” another fan tweeted.

“This guy just isn’t a leader. All the talent in the world but not a single ounce of leadership,” another tweet read.

With Rodgers, it really is always someone else’s fault. All of these retreats and strange practices have still been unable to take him out of his own ego.

Aaron Rodgers Doubles Down On Mike Williams Shot

Rodgers is clearly confident about his take on his receiver Williams, as he doubled down on it in his appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show”. It is just hard to believe that this would ever be taken well by the locker room, and Rodgers’s antics cannot be overcome by his play anymore. You cannot blame your teammates as a 40-year-old Hall of Famer.

“I have a lot of love and respect for Mike. … On that play, he wasn’t in the right spot. We should all be held to a standard,” Rodgers said.

Williams has certainly struggled this year, and that play may very well have been his fault. But for Rodgers to do that highlights why he has only ever won 1 Super Bowl and got pretty lucky to even win that. Ego is crucial to being an amazing quarterback in the NFL, but there are many tactful ways of dealing with the media, and Rodgers must not know any of them.

This may be Rodgers’s last season in the NFL, and it would be amazing to see such an all-time perform well, but it seems that the Jets are going to fall apart sooner rather than later. Adding Devante Adams may change some things, but it’s highly doubtful this team is sniffing the playoffs down the road.
