The Michigan Wolverines are on top of the college football world. After defeating the Washington Huskies in the national championship, the Wolverines have their sights set on 2024. They will be without a couple of key players as JJ McCarthy and Blake Corum have declared for the NFL Draft. However, the Wolverines got a big boost today when star running back Donovan Edwards announced he would be returning in 2024.

Michigan Wolverines RB Donovan Edwards Is Returning In 2024
Edwards announced on his Instagram that he will be returning in 2024. This is huge for Michigan. While Corum got a lot of the spotlight, Edwards has come up huge in big games. His performance against Ohio State last year was legendary. Then, in Monday’s national championship game, he got the team off to a scorching start with two long touchdown runs. In his three seasons, he has amassed 15 total touchdowns. Edwards will become the focal point of the Wolverines running game.
2024 Questions
This helps answer one of the questions for the Wolverines this offseason, but there are still many lingering. Jim Harbaugh is interviewing with the Los Angeles Chargers today and could be leaving the program. The quarterback position will need to be filled, and many defensive pieces will need to be replaced. Outside of Harbaugh leaving, the Wolverines should be fine. They have shown that they can compete year after year, even after losing some pieces.
The looming decision for the Michigan Wolverines is going to be Jim Harbaugh. Once that decision is made, the team will be able to have a clearer picture of what 2024 will look like.
