Dell: Stellar Rookie Year
Tank Dell, a star at SMU before becoming a third-round pick by the Houston Texans in the 2023 NFL draft, shined as a rookie last season. After a sub-par first game, Dell posted 12 receptions for 217 yards and two scores across the next two games. Dell became a favorite for quarterback C.J. Stroud, catching six or more passes in six of his first ten professional contests. However, the rookie suffered a season-ending lower-body injury in Week 11.
Dell, who missed the entirety of the final portion of the 2023 season, expects to be ready for the season opener. Houston won the AFC South last year with a 10-7 record, their first with head coach DeMeco Ryans.
