The Miami Hurricanes are wearing it today, with multiple players entering the transfer portal following last weekend’s spring game. Miami has lost numerous players to the portal, including backup quarterback Jacurri Brown. Shortly after Brown made his intentions known, freshman running back and former top recruit TreVonte’ Citizen also jumped into the portal, leaving Coral Gables after just two seasons.
Miami has also seen three other players enter the portal with the spring window officially open. Edge rusher Nyjalik Kelly highlights the group, accumulating 5.5 TFLs and four sacks across two seasons. Meanwhile, offensive lineman Logan Sagapolu is also out at Miami.
Miami Hurricanes RB TreVonte’ Citizen: Leaving ACC Program

Citizen shined at Lake Charles Prep High School in Louisiana, earning All-American Bowl honors in 2022. According to Rivals, he is the second-rated running back in the class of 2022. He rushed for 743 yards and 11 touchdowns during his final season at Lake Charles Prep and 615 yards and eight touchdowns in 2020. The six-foot-one, 220-pound rusher picked Miami over Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, and USC, among others.

TreVonte’ Citizen’s departure from Miami marks the end of his injury-riddled time with Miami. However, leadback Mark Fletcher Jr. remains. Fletcher accumulated 514 rushing yards and five touchdowns in a team-best 105 carries. He also caught seven passes for 62 yards. Meanwhile, running backs Ajay Allen and Chris Johnson Jr. could spell Fletcher. Allen had 70 carries for 361 yards and five scores, while Johnson tallied 73 yards and one touchdown on 11 rush attempts.
Last year’s top rusher, Henry Parrish, joins Citizen in the transfer portal. Parrish could return to Ole Miss, his previous school, before playing the past two seasons with the Miami Hurricanes. He rushed for 1,241 and ten touchdowns during that span.
