After having a disappointing end of season for the Miami Dolphins, there are reports surfacing that the team will not use a franchise tag on DT Christian Wilkins because they have to clear a cap space of 31.6 million by March 13th. The Dolphins have 4 big players in contracts: Tyreek Hill, Jalen Ramsey, Bradley Chubb, and Terron Armstead that there is just not enough room in the budget for the 13th overall pick in 2019 Christian Wilkins. Also with Tua Tagovailoa entering his last season in his rookie contract it is hanging in the balance of an extension
Among the NFL teams that might be interested in Wilkins is the Chicago Bears, they have some series need for a DT like Wilkins to help them on the defensive side of the ball. Chicago ranked 31.2% as a and ranked 3rd worst in the league in pressure to the quarterback.
The Indianapolis Colts are also a team that might be interested in Wilkins since the Colts ranked 7th worst in the league in quarterback pressure and gave up 123.8 rushing yards per game last season.
The Raiders would also be top contenders interested for the star defensive player. The Raiders only have one defensive end Maxx Crosby that could use some help. The Raiders ranked 21st in rush defense in the NFL.
Lastly, the New England Patriots and Houston Texans will be interested in him for his ability to stop the run and improve the run defense as well as getting to the quarterback and pressuring the quarterback.

Now that Christian Wilkins one of the best defensive players entering the free agency pool, it will be up to which NFL team is willing to take him onto their squad pay a big contract and improve the needs of their defense. Time will tell where the defensive tackle will land among the NFL teams. even though in the past five seasons of playing in the NFL he has not made a Pro Bowl yet but he is a difference maker that can help a defense who is struggling.
