The New England Patriots make a roster move at quarterback
The more interesting news for the Patriots comes at quarterback. Multiple reports surfaced the Patriots were going to waive recently signed quarterback Matt Corral. Corral missed Friday’s practice for a non-injury-related reason.
According to Pelissero, that isn’t the case. The Patriots added Corral to the reserve/left squad list. The Patriots can keep Corral off of waivers and open up a roster spot until Corral returns.

The drama at quarterback continues for the Patriots. They added Corral with the hopes the Carolina Panthers’ 2022 third-round pick would compete for the QB2 position.
It’s unclear as to why Corral missed Friday’s practice. But it’s clear the Patriots have a mess on their hands on the entire depth chart at quarterback.
