Los Angeles Chargers fans reacted to a devastating injury update for the team and quarterback Justin Herbert Sunday evening. Herbert was ruled out of the Chargers game for a hand injury he sustained in the middle of the second quarter during their game against the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos would go on to defeat the Chargers 24-7 after Easton Stick came in to replace Herbert for the rest of the game. The Chargers’ playoff chances took a big hit after the loss, as the team has a 5-8 record heading into Week 15.
The biggest obstacle to the Chargers playoff path is Herbert’s injury status. And it doesn’t look good Sunday evening. According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, Chargers head coach Branon Staley said Herbert was diagnosed with a fractured index finger on his right (throwing) hand.
Because a finger fracture takes anywhere from six to eight weeks to heal, it’s unlikely for Herbert to return this season.
#Chargers coach Brandon Staley announces that QB Justin Herbert has a fractured right index finger. Given where we are in the season, a fracture could mean his season is over.

It’s time to fire Brandon Staley

Unfortunately with Justin Herbert now out for season, I think that Staley and TT may have bought an excuse for them to be given another year by Spanos. I hope things are different but all we can do is give a giant collective *sigh*.

Should’ve announced his own end of season firing to get ahead of it too

It was only a matter of time. That o-line looked like they were trying to get him killed. Not surprised at all he got injured in the 2nd Q.

If you actually care about Justin Herbert's future. You have to fire Telesco and Staley. If he wants Moore back then you keep him. If not, clean house. Wasted too much time already. A halfway competent organization would be fully in the playoffs with a mess of an AFC

The Chargers were terrible on offense these past 3-4 weeks with Justin Herbert, I can only imagine how bad it is without him.
