The Las Vegas Raiders have plenty of well-known bitter rivalries with other NFL teams. Recently, a video of them passing around a Kermit the Frog doll dressed up as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went viral. It was an antic that the two-time NFL MVP and three-time Super Bowl Champion said will “get handled when it gets handled.”
Rivalries, of course, is part of what makes the NFL so intriguing. The Raiders and Chiefs play each other twice a year because they are in the same division, so it makes sense that the players may feel some sort of way about each other.
That being said, rivalries are more often fueled by the fans. Indeed, NFL fans are among the most passionate sports fans in the world. However, sometimes they take things a bit too far.
Las Vegas Raiders Wide Receiver Davante Adams Calls Out Washington Commanders Fans
As a former Green Bay Packers player, wide receiver Davante Adams has been a part of some of the fiercest rivalries in the NFL. After all, the Packers and Chicago Bears rivalry goes back over 100 years. Of course, he is now part of the Chiefs and Raiders rivalry.
Adams has gained more notoriety than he already had this offseason thanks to his participation in the “Receiver” documentary on Netflix. This opportunity has led to others, including an appearance on the popular show “Hot Ones Versus” with Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
During their segment, the two All-Pro wide receivers discussed which NFL fans were the worst. Despite Adams’ long history of competing against the Bears and being jeered by their fans, they were not even mentioned by him.
According to Adams, Washington Commanders fans are “miserable because the stadium is horrible, the city is not great at all. I’m probably going to get somebody at my front door after this, but that’s just how I feel.”
Adams is not wrong about the stadium. FedEx Field is consistently ranked among the worst of all NFL stadiums. Two years ago, Commanders fans were ranked last in the NFL by Fandom Analytics.
The Raiders’ All-Pro also listed the Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, and Buffalo Bills as teams with disrespectful fans.
Detroit Lions Wide Receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown Hates Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers Fans
For his part, St. Brown said he hated Packers fans and Atlanta Falcons fans. His hatred for Packers fans is because he plays for Detroit, though he did acknowledge they had some “good fans.” It is worth noting that St. Brown had hoped that Green Bay would have drafted him because his older brother played for the team at the time.
His disdain for Falcons fans is the result of their low attendance. “Is there that much to do in Atlanta?” he pondered. “I dunno. Because ain’t nobody going to the game.”
