Lamar Jackson Ranks #1 In Brutal NFL Playoff Statistic

The NFL playoffs is a different game from the regular season, and no one knows that more than Lamar Jackson. His stats get considerably worse in the playoffs and that was on full display in the AFC Championship. Lamar will get his second MVP this season, and he did play great in the second half of the divisional round. In the AFC championship though, they were not able to score all game.

NFL Playoff History Has Lamar Jackson Leading In A Brutal Statistic

Lamar now has a new first in NFL Playoff history and it is not a good thing. Lamar was sacked 4 times against the Kansas City Chiefs, including a strip sack fumble that was a crucial turnover early in the game.  Now Lamar has a new record for most playoff games in a row taking 3+ sacks in a game. He is currently on an active streak of 6 games suffering more than 3 sacks a game.

Lamar is known for his incredible escape ability but in the post season he seems to not be able to do it the same way. He also holds onto the ball longer allowing the pocket to close in on him. This is not a winning recipe, taking sacks are drive killers and now he is on a streak of being the most sacked quarterback in a 6 game span in history.

Will Lamar Jackson Ever Win A Super Bowl

This was the best opportunity Lamar will probably ever get to getting to the Super Bowl. This was year that guys like Aaron Rodgers and Joe Burrow were both injured and the Kansas City Chiefs were not the same team clearly, only putting up 17 points in the game and 0 in the entire second half. Now Lamar will have to come back next year with tons more competition and it will be much harder to ever get back to this point.

Having home field advantage and the number one seed is not something that the Baltimore Ravens should get used to and even when they do get back to the playoffs Lamar has to watch the tape and lean how to not take as many sacks as he has been in his playoff career.

Most consecutive playoff games taking 3+ sacks, NFL history

    1. Lamar Jackson – 6 (active)
    2. Roger Staubach – 5
    3. Joe Flacco – 4
    3. Ben Roethlisberger – 4
