Lamar Jackson Drops Bold Promise To Baltimore Ravens After Kansas City Chiefs Upset

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is well aware of how disappointed their fans are. They themselves are frustrated after their heartbreaking AFC Championship loss, so it’s only natural for the diehard supporters to feel the same way.

Jackson, however, promised that they will bounce back in the next playoff chance they get. He knows it won’t be easy, but he’s confident that the team has more than enough to compete for years to come.

The Ravens QB shared his promise on X (formerly Twitter). He also highlighted how proud he is of the team for what they have accomplished, even if the end result isn’t exactly what they wanted.

“I’m Proud of all my brothers we was the 8-9 Ravens but fell A game short to the Former champs hats Off to them. #Wegonnabeback&Wayyybetter #TotherealFlocknation we thank yall,” Jackson wrote.

There were high hopes that the Ravens would finally be able to make it to the Super Bowl in the Jackson era. Unfortunately for them, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are just too strong to get over.

The Chiefs entered the game as massive underdogs, but what analysts didn’t take into account is how well-experienced they are on this stage of the postseason. They have been to plenty of high-pressure and high-stakes situation, and that much was clear as they were never discouraged throughout their playoff run.

Lamar Jackson Admits Baltimore Ravens’ Anger

While Lamar Jackson expressed hope and optimism in his social media post, he didn’t hide the team’s anger following the 17-10 defeat.

The Baltimore Ravens signal-caller shared in his postgame presser that they are all disappointed with themselves for falling short, especially the offense. They had been one of the best offensive teams in the league in 2023, but against a stingy Kansas City Chiefs defense, they faltered.

“We fell short. Like I said, offensively, we didn’t put nothing on the board. We scored once. That’s not like us. If we throw the ball down the field, that’s cool, but we’ve got to put points on the board. I feel like my team is angry, you know? Not frustrated, but angry. We know how hard we worked to get here,” Jackson said.

“I’m angry about losing. We were a game away from the Super Bowl. We’ve been waiting all this time, all these moments, for an opportunity like this, and we fell short. But I feel like our team, we’re going to build.”

Hopefully, Jackson and the Ravens remember that feeling of losing. It will be hard for them to replicate the success they had this season, but if they can stay motivated and hungry, they are more than capable of getting over the hump.
