Kentucky Wildcats Land WR Ja’Mori Maclin
If his last name sounds familiar it is because he is the brother of former NFL receiver Jeremy Maclin. 2023 was a career year where he caught 57 balls for 1,004 yards (17.6 avg) and 11 scores. This is a massive get for the Wildcats who are hoping to get back into contention for the SEC. Getting a great quarterback and wide receiver combination was clearly on the to-do list for head coach Mark Stoops. Will it be enough?
2024 Outlook
There is no shortage of elite teams on the schedule for the Wildcats in 2024. Georgia, Louisville, Florida, Auburn, and Texas are all on the docket for 2024. These programs have been very active in the transfer portal as well and look to make a run to be atop the SEC. Kentucky will need to garner some more talent and be playing their best ball on those Saturdays. It isn’t impossible as the Wildcats have seen a lot of success in recent years.
2024 is going to be an interesting year for college football. With the massive conference realignment happening, it will be a season of a lot of new matchups.
