The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers have punched their ticket to Super Bowl LVIII (58). The 49ers have returned to the Super Bowl after beating the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship game, 34-31. On February 11th, they will get a chance to avenge their Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs four years ago.
The Super Bowl is certainly a star-studded event each and every year. That will be no different this year, especially with Taylor Swift dating Chiefs’ star tight end Travis Kelce. However, her ability to go the game will come down to just a few hours.
Taylor Swift Will Have To Act Fast If She Wants To Attend The Super Bowl
According to Darren Rovell:
Taylor Swift performs in Japan the night before the Super Bowl. It will end around 10pm Tokyo time (5 am Las Vegas time).
The flight from Tokyo to Vegas takes 12 hours, meaning Swift can arrive at 5pm local on the day before the Super Bowl, 25 hours, 35 mins before kickoff.
From Feb. 7-10, Swift performs four shows at the Tokyo Dome in Japan before heading to Australia for shows beginning Feb. 16. Doors open at 4 p.m. local time for her Tokyo concert, with the show starting at 6 p.m. Her set usually begins two hours after the scheduled start time. For her Tokyo tour dates, no openers have been announced, so she may perform closer to 6 p.m.
How Can Swift Make It To The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl?
It’s reasonable to assume Swift will try to attend since she’s been a regular at Kelce’s games since they announced their relationship in the fall. Traveling to catch the season finale will be a hassle, however.
Swift must hurry to get across the Pacific Ocean and back to the United States in time for kickoff after closing four days in Japan.
Short answer: yes. Having a 17-hour time difference in her favor means Swift can arrive in Las Vegas in plenty of time.
In addition to weather patterns and the crowded Las Vegas airports during Super Bowl weekend, there are other factors to consider. It is likely for her to show, but not guaranteed.
