The Kansas City Chiefs are 4-0 and will try to remain undefeated when they take on the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football. The matchup will be an interesting one as Kansas City has recently put Rashee Rice, their leading wide receiver from a year ago, on injured reserve. Rice is undergoing a procedure on his injured knee to determine the extent of the damage it suffered when quarterback Patrick Mahomes made contact with it when trying to tackle a Los Angeles Chargers defender.

The Chiefs are now playing without three of their most important offensive players. Wide receiver Marquis “Hollywood” Brown, who signed as a free agent this offseason, is out for the year with a shoulder injury. Isiah Pacheco, like Rice, is currently on injured reserve. He has a fractured fibula.

With these players out, tight end Travis Kelce is expected to play an even bigger role in the offense.

Kelce is coming off of his best game of the season, a contest that saw him catch seven passes for 89 yards against the Chargers. One of the biggest talking points from that game was the fact that Kelce’s girlfriend, 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift, was not there.

It was the second-straight game that she missed.

Swift’s absence over the last two weeks have led to many unfounded rumors involving the couple. However, Kelce recently revealed that she is making her return to Chiefs games soon.

When speaking at his 35th birthday party on Saturday night, Kelce told media members that Swift will be present when Kansas City takes on the Saints “She will be not be here [today. But] I know she’s coming in for the game,” Kelce said.

It is worth noting that the game on Monday night will be played at Arrowhead Stadium. The two games Swift has attended previously have also been Chiefs home games.

Why Doesn’t Taylor Swift Come Watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs on the Road?

Last year, Swift attended 13 Chiefs games, including all of their NFL Playoff games and the Super Bowl. Many of the other games she went to also were on the road.

So why is she not attending road games this year?

The answer, as reported earlier, is simple: security.

Arrowhead’s security team and Swift’s personal security detail have created a system that runs smoothly. Trying to recreate that every week with other stadiums’ security teams just is not possible right now.

Fans may recall that Swift had to cancel some shows of her Eras Tour in Europe due to terrorist threats. Simply put, her safety, and that of the other fans in attendance, is of the upmost importance.

While the international popstar may attend road games later in the season, it is not something that she is going to do right now, perhaps until after her Eras Tour concludes in North America later this year.
