Chiefs: Taylor Swift Opens Up About Why She Skipped Last 2 Games

The Kansas City Chiefs have started their quest for a three-peat a perfect 4-0.  Though their offense hasn’t looked like their normal self at times, they’ve done just enough to come away victorious.  They’ve won each game by a touchdown or less.

Taylor Swift’s attendance at games has become a headline news story for each game, however, now even when she doesn’t show up she still makes headlines.

Taylor Swift missed both Kansas City Chiefs’ games last weekend as breakup rumors swirled about Travis Kelce.

Especially in today’s social media age and when the internet is so advanced, it’s easy to spread rumors quickly about celebrities. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship is already rumored to be in choppy waters, according to unconfirmed reports:

The reason is simple: Swift, who has attended most Chiefs games since her relationship with Kelce commenced, has missed the team’s last two games. Swift was at the Chiefs’ Week 1 and 2 home games (vs. the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals) but missed their Week 3 and 4 road games against the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers, respectively.

According to a report from TMZ, Travis Kelce and the Grammy Award-winning singer “are still going strong.” The report added that Swift has presumably been absent because of rehearsals, as she is set to resume her Eras Tour later this month:

“Sources familiar with the couple tell TMZ … Taylor and Travis remain a couple, even though she hasn’t been able to make it to his last two games in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Taylor is going back on tour in a couple weeks in Florida…so it appears rehearsals may be contributing to her missing Travis’ recent games.”

 

In 2023, Swift attended 13 Chiefs games, including all three AFC playoff games and the Super Bowl 58 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. It is unsurprising that the NFL has scored major ratings in Chiefs games Swift has attended personally.

The Chiefs will try to maintain their undefeated streak when they face Derek Carr and the Saints next Monday.
