The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the most popular teams in the NFL heading into the 2024 regular season. Of course, the fact that they have won each of the last two Super Bowls has a great deal to do with that. However, the Chiefs (and the NFL as a whole) gained a whole new fan demographic last season.
This demographic, mostly made up of girls and young women, started following the Chiefs because of Travis Kelce‘s relationship with 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift. Rumors abounded last summer that the pair were dating, and were proved to be true when the popstar showed up to watch the Chiefs defeat the Chicago Bears in September of last year.
Swift went to a total of 13 Chiefs games and, of course, was on hand when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, famously flying directly to Las Vegas from Toyko, Japan (where she was on tour) in order to make it to the game on time.
Their relationship has certainly been one of the biggest storylines in the NFL and pop culture over the last year, but one leaked document alleges that it is all fake.
Leaked Document Reveals Date for Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Breakup

According to a report by The Sun, a contract was leaked online, with Kelce’s PR Firm’s header, that gave September 28, 2024 as the date that he and Swift would end their relationship, which, per the contract, was nothing more than a PR stunt.
Per the report, ” The ‘contract’ appears to be written by PR firm Full Scope, and details plans and an exact date for Kelce’s breakup with Swift. Paperwork shows an alleged plan to release a statement three days after the supposed breakup to ‘allow the initial media frenzy to settle and ensure clarity.’
“The announcement would allegedly be ‘gracious, respectful, and stress mutual respect.'”
Obviously, this would be quite the shock to many fans, and the idea that the relationship is fake is one that some, mostly bitter old football fans, have thrown around before.
However, it appears that this alleged contract is about as fake as it claims the relationship is.
Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce Has Hired Lawyers to Go After the False Report

As reported on Gridiron Heroics earlier this morning, the Chiefs tight end has hired a team of lawyers to investigate the false contract and find out who created it.
The Daily Mail, too, has reported that Kelce is going after the party or parties who created the fake document: “We have engaged our legal team to initiate proceedings against the individuals or entities responsible for the unlawful and injurious forgery of documents,” his PR team said in a statement.
Unfortunately, they do not expect to find the individual or individuals responsible.
Meanwhile, Kelce is getting set to help Kansas City win their third-straight Super Bowl, undoubtedly with Swift set to attend many games this year.
