Kansas City Chiefs four-time First Team All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce has become more and more popular for his off-field activities and ambitions. A future Pro Football Hall of Famer, Kelce was always well-known among football fans, but his relationship with 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift has seen his name recognition skyrocket to an international level.
Recently, Kelce’s popular “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, signed a three-year $100 million deal with Amazon. He is also expected to have played a role in the long-awaited Happy Gilmore sequel.
And now it sounds like he has entered the horseracing business.
Kansas City Chiefs Tight End Travis Kelce Buys Stake in Racehorse Named Swift Delivery

Earlier this year, Kelce, along with many other current and former NFL stars, attended the Kentucky Derby. While he was there, he met Barry Irwin, the CEO of Team Valor.
According to a report by the Associated Press, Irwin has sold Kelce and the Zoldan family (who own Phantom Fireworks) stake in a three-year-old gelding named Swift Delivery.
“It’s very exciting. I met him at the Kentucky Derby and got to spend some time with him and stuff, and we talked about horses and everything,” Irwin said to the AP. “When this horse came to light and it was owned by one of my partners already, with the name I figured this has got to be a no-brainer.”
The name of the horse and Kelce’s relationship with the international popstar is “just a coincidence,” according to Irwin.
Per the report, Kelce bought a stake in Swift Delivery over a month ago, but just recently gave permission for his involvement to be revealed to the public.
Jason Kelce Makes Taylor Swift Pun in Response to Report

When news of Kelce’s investment in Swift Delivery was reported on social media, Jason Kelce made the following post:
But does it have an enlarged heart…. Can this horse do it with a broken heart! @tkelce https://t.co/rLO442aFp4
— Jason Kelce (@JasonKelce) August 27, 2024
This, of course, is a play on words to involve the lyrics to Swift’s song “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.”
Travis, of course, spent much of his offseason with Swift on the European leg of her Eras Tour. Jason, too, spent some time in Europe following her shows.
While in London, the brothers also met members of the Royal Family.
They are really living the dream.
