A Kansas City Chiefs player explains why they’re unsatisfied
The Kansas City Chiefs finished a remarkable season with a Super Bowl victory in February. The Chiefs reclaimed the NFL’s highest prize after two years of coming close in the playoffs. They were able to get revenge over their pesky AFC rival, the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship game.
The Chiefs outlasted the league’s most talented team in 2022, the Philadelphia Eagles, in a classic Super Bowl. One Chiefs starter explained why they’re both satisfied with the title in their rookie season but unsatisfied this offseason.
According to Adam Teicher with ESPN, running back Isiah Pacheco said he has more work to do to become a better football player in the NFL:
“Being able to extend the things I’m able to do, that comes with work in the offseason,’’ Pacheco said. “For me, I still feel like there’s more to improve …I’m satisfied with the [Super Bowl] win on my first [appearance], but I’m unsatisfied because I know that there’s more that could’ve been done out there.”
The 2022 seventh-round selection will have a chance to improve this offseason. Pacheco showed flashes of greatness in his rookie campaign, averaging 4.9 yards per rush and scoring five rushing touchdowns last season. He’s a speedy back, and with his current focused mindset this offseason, Pacheco could be even more dangerous in the Chiefs backfield in 2023.
