The Kansas City Chiefs are getting ready to face the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. On Super Bowl Opening Night, one notable player was not available to speak to the press. That player was Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed. Now, the latest report reveals why Sneed was absent from Opening Night.
L’Jarius Sneed Attends to Birth of His Daughter
According to James Palmer of the NFL Network, Sneed missed Opening Night due to the birth of his daughter. He left the team to attend to that and at the time, it was just listed as “personal reasons.” However, the reasons were noted as positive rather than negative at the time. Now, we can see why.
Kansas City Chiefs Moving Forward
It is expected that Sneed will rejoin the Chiefs any day now and he will be back prior to the Super Bowl. Sneed’s presence will be welcomed. He had two interceptions and 60 solo tackles during the regular season. In the playoffs, he had a forced fumble and 12 solo tackles. Now, Sneed looks to complete a memorable week with a Super Bowl title.
