If you type Kansas City Chiefs too quickly, it often becomes Kansas City Chefs, and in this case, it’s not a typo. The joke featured on State Farm Commercials and various other outlets is coming to life with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce investing in the new Kansas City steakhouse ‘1587 Prime’.
The 10,000-square-foot, two-story restaurant will open in 2025 and be featured in the Loews Hotel Kansas City. The two will partner with Noble 33, which owns high-end restaurants around the nation.
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce shared the following:
“Travis [Kelce] and I have become frequent visitors of Noble 33 restaurants in other cities, so it only made sense to bring something special to our own community in Kansas City….We’re exctied to create a one-of-a kind dining expereince.”
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce Are Not New to the Business World
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce may be best known for their on-the-field performances and three Super Bowl wins, but both stars are also very involved in the business world. Both players are spokespeople for companies such as State Farm, Subway, T-Mobile, Fortnight, Coors Light, Pfitzer, and others.
Additionally, Patrick Mahomes is a shareholder in multiple sports teams, including the Kansas City Current, Kansas City Royals, Sporting Kansas City, and a pickleball team in Miami.
Travis Kelce has less experience investing in companies but is no stranger to business. He is a founder of Hilo Gummies, a healthy sleep gummy brand, a cereal named Kelce Crunch, and is a co-owner of a Club Car Wash.
1597 Prime will be the first business investment in which Mahomes and Kelce are involved together.
