NFL fans took to social media Friday to ask the league to reconsider teams playing Thursday Night Football. after Joe Burrow’s injury. Burrow suffered a torn ligament in his wrist that will sideline him for the rest of the season.
The injury came on a short week for the Bengals. Many players and coaches feel the slate of Thursday night games is unsafe for players trying to heal from injuries in almost every game they play.
A few studies have been done to see if more injuries are prevalent on Thursday Night Football. The results appear to be inconclusive at this point.
Regardless, players don’t like the short turnaround on their bodies. But much like the NFL does when they push foreign games on teams at the expense of fair competition, the league is more interested in ratings and publicity than what players have to say outside of the collective bargaining agreement.
Fans want TNF banned after Joe Burrow’s injury
Fans took to social media to vent about TNF after Burrow’s injury. There’s no proof Burrow’s injury was due to a short turnaround. It seemed to have more to do with the impact from Ravens defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, and that could as easily have happened on Sunday.
Here are the best takes of fans asking for TNF to be banned.
So the hip-drop tackle isn't safe, but Thursday Night Football is???

Can we just get rid of Thursday night football already? The games always suck and star players constantly get injured.
