One of the major college football stories involves Michigan Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh and his future. We tend to be in a consistent cycle with Harbaugh threatening to leave the Wolverines for a potential jump to the National Football League. However, one of the bigger developments happened late on Saturday night as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Jim Harbaugh hired football agent Don Yee to represent him.

Yee has been the representation for some of the top personalities in the world of football such as Tom Brady, Jimm Garaoppolo, Julian Edelman and Sean Payton to name a few. This indicates a potential swing for teams in the NFL to get Harbaugh at least listening to offers as Yee is going to get him the best deal possible.
With at least a handful of NFL teams looking for a new coach for next season and a reported 10-year, $125 million contract extension on the table with the Michigan Wolverines, there are some massive decisions to make. However, Harbaugh is clearly focusing on the task at hand as they look to defeat the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl College Football Playoff Semifinal matchup.
What NFL teams will Jim Harbaugh likely be interested in signing with?
Jim Harbaugh has been one of the coaches who has had success both in the collegiate and professional football ranks. The pairing that seems to make sense would be the Los Angeles Chargers as they have some integral pieces in place with quarterback Justin Herbert signed to a massive extension and a lot of talent surrounding him on both sides of the football.
Another interesting spot is the Chicago Bears as it really seems to be the complete opposite of what the Chargers job would entail. The Bears have a completely blank slate as they will likely get the first pick in the 2024 NFL draft and could select a quarterback or keep Justin Fields. They also have some of the most cap spaces in the 2024 offseason so they can sign players and create a winning culture.
The NFC North is a bit open as the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings are still in interesting positions right now. While Jim Harbaugh could still just return to the Michigan Wolverines, things will be interesting as the opportunities continue to open up.
