Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce is not any less busy now that he has retired from the NFL. The future Pro Football Hall of Famer has his own podcast, “New Heights,” which he hosts with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Recently, they signed a three-year $100 million deal with Amazon to exclusively stream their show.
In addition to “New Heights,” Kelce has various commitments with ESPN, which sees him covering both college and NFL games. While he is not always “working” during these commitments, he is very visible and accessible for fans.
Most of the time, this is a positive as Kelce is seen partying and having a good time. However, one individual took it too far on Saturday, which led to a viral moment on social media.
Jason Kelce Defends Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift After Heckler Calls His Brother a Slur

While walking towards the stadium (carrying a 12-pack of beer) to watch the Penn State game against Ohio State, a heckler from the crowd of people around Kelce (and who was obviously filming on his phone) yelled, “Hey Jason! How does it feel to know your brother is a f—ot for dating Taylor Swift?”
Kelce proceeded to take the man’s phone out of his hand, slam it to the ground, pick it up, and walk away with it in his pocket.
People are gonna comment about Jason Kelce but the point is there’s no accountability for anything anyone says anymore. The old days with no phones and social media what do you think would have really happened?! People are losers for this crap. pic.twitter.com/xZOFFWB6VH

Travis, of course, started dating the 14-time Grammy Award winner a little over a year ago. Their high-profile relationship has resulted in higher rating for the NFL, but has also drawn unkind and inappropriate comments such as the one hurled at Jason.
Social Media Loves Jason Kelce for Defending Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

The video above shows that some fans have gotten too comfortable being able to say whatever they want to others online and not face any real-world consequences. Observers on social media took great pleasure in seeing what Kelce did to defend his brother and Swift:

I love this.
Jason Kelce just took a stand for normal men against the “idiots who have become way too comfortable saying ridiculous shit to people who can actually kick their ass” crowd.
Good for him.— Colin Dunlap (@colin_dunlap) November 2, 2024
my thoughts on jason kelce smashing that dude’s phone for calling his brother a homophobic slur: very funny. 10/10 no notes.

This is exactly how trolls should be handled in real life

In other news, third ranked Ohio State defeated fourth ranked Penn State; but for now the viral moment coming out of that game belongs to Jason Kelce.
