Tennessee Titan’s Rookie Wide Receiver Jacob Copeland didn’t hold back about the 2023 NFL Draft. Copeland aims to embarrass NFL teams that didn’t draft him.

Copeland was undrafted and signed with the Titans on April 29. Thirty-two wide receivers were selected before Copeland.

Copeland said, ” There were 32 receivers drafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. I’ll never forget that. I wrote down the name of each receiver.”

    Significance

Undrafted players have chips on their shoulders. Players that go undrafted believe in themselves and play with an edge. Undrafted players like Copeland had to watch hundreds of players get drafted. Copeland can use his status as fuel. Copeland will be focused and work hard to prove he belongs in the NFL.

Copeland has a chance to make the Titan’s roster. Tennessee lost Robert Woods in free agency. Woods led the Titans with 527 receiving yards. Woods scored two receiving touchdowns. Copeland can use his skills to make plays. If Copeland shines during training camp, Tennessee should add him to the 53-man roster.

    Copeland’s Background

Copeland was a four-star recruit out of Escambia High School in Pensacola, Florida. Copeland went to the University of Florida in 2018. Copeland transferred to the University of Maryland in 2022.

In five seasons, Copeland caught 112 passes and recorded 1,742 receiving yards. Copeland scored 11 receiving touchdowns. Copeland finished as the fourth-best receiver on Maryland’s roster.

    Here are Copeland’s 2022 highlights.

    Final Note

Tennessee also drafted Wide Receiver Colton Dowell in the seventh round. Dowell played college football at the University of Tennessee at Martin.
