Indianapolis Colts Leave Anthony Richardson in
After the hit, he tried to stay in the rest of the game, but realized it was apparent something was wrong with him just two possessions after. Richardson finished going 6-10 for 56 passing yards, and had three rushes for 35 yards and two touchdowns. Back up quarterback Gardner Minshew finished the game for Richardson, going 19-23 with 171 yards and a touchdown, leading the Colts to win 31-20 against their division rival.
This is the second time this season that Richardson has gone down with an injury, and it’s only week two! The Colts need to figure out how to better protect and utilize their star rookie if they want him to be the franchise guy, and not another Andrew Luck.
The severity of Richardson’s injury is still unknown, hopefully a low-grade concussion so he can get back out on the field and ready for the Colts’ week three matchup, where they will travel to Baltimore to take on Lamar Jackson and the 2-0 high flying Ravens.
