The Howard University Bison of the MEAC (1-3) will travel to play Yale Bulldogs (1-1) of the Ivy League.
The Bison came off the first win of the season with a shutout victory against Morehouse University Maroon Tigers. They are preparing for The Harmony Classic against the Yale Bulldogs of the Ivy League. The Bulldogs got their first win of the season this past weekend with an impressive defeat of the Cornell Big Red (1-1) of the Ivy League.
GAME HISTORY
The Harmony Classic has been around for ten years The sponsor is the NAACP Connecticut Chapter It is an event that celebrates diversity and racial harmony. The 2021 edition featured the University of New Haven Chargers vs Bowie State Bulldogs won by the Bulldogs 21-13. This will be the first matchup between the Bison and the Bulldogs.
KEYS TO THE GAME FOR THE BISON
The Bison will need the QB Quinton Williams to play well he has had almost 1.000 yards passing with six touchdowns. The tandem of RB Jarrett Hunter and RB Ian Wheeler have combined for over 300 yards and four rushing touchdowns this season. The team leaders in receiving are WR Antonie Murray and WR Nah’shawn Hezekiah both have over 500 combined yards and three touchdowns. The leading tacklers on the defense are DB Kenny Gallop with 16 tackles. LB Terrance Hollon was second with 14 tackles and two picks. DB Christian Brown was third with 13 tackles and one pick.
This should be a great game with both teams coming off their first win of the season.
