The Houston Texans wide receiver room will be shorthanded against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Wideout Noah Brown, fresh off a massive seven-catch, 172-yard game, will miss Sunday with a knee injury, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

Wilson later shared on Twitter (also known as X) that the injury wasn’t a long-term issue but a week-by-week ordeal. Brown did not practice in preparation for Week 11.
Noah Brown: Emerging as a Favorite Target for QB C.J. Stroud
Noah Brown signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans this offseason but sat on the injured reserve (IR) for nearly the entire first seven weeks of the season. However, Brown quickly became a trustworthy option for rookie quarterback sensation C.J. Stroud. He played 72% of the offensive snaps in Week 8, just his second contest back from the IR. The 27-year-old broke out the following Sunday, catching all six targets for 153 yards and one touchdown. Brown again posted a monster stat line last Sunday, snagging seven passes for 172 yards.
The Ohio State product joined the Dallas Cowboys as a seventh-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft. He played sparingly during his first four seasons before posting 43 receptions for 555 yards and three scores in 2022, his final in Dallas.
Houston Texans: A Trio of Wideouts to Step Up on Sunday
The Houston Texans will turn to rookie Tank Dell, veteran Robert Woods, and former first-round pick John Metchie to fill the void left by Noah Brown on Sunday. Dell is the obvious choice, with a team-high five touchdown receptions on the year. Meanwhile, Woods, who played his first game in three weeks last Sunday, will see an increased snap share. Speedster John Metchie also looks to benefit with Brown out. He had two catches for 25 yards in Week 10.
The wildcard in the receiving core remains Nico Collins. The team leader in receiving yards missed last Sunday with a calf injury but logged a limited practice on Thursday. His return would provide quarterback C.J. Stroud with another proven, reliable option in the passing game. Stroud has been electric as a rookie in 2023, throwing for 2,626 yards and 15 touchdowns against two picks in nine games. He is a virtual lock for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
