In the 2021-2022 season, the Saints dealt with injuries to key starters. The starting quarter back Jameis Winston went down with a torn ACL in week 8. The Saints star wide receiver Michael Thomas missed the entire season due to an ankle injury. The 2021 Saints started out on a roll going five and two until Jameis Winston went down. This included two big wins vs the Green Bay Packers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both of whom finished with double digit wins on the season.
Now the Saints bring back Jameis Winston, Michael Thomas, and add key wide receiver additions in Veteran Jarvis Landry and rookie Chris Olave from Ohio State. The wide receiver position was a point of emphasis for new Head coach Dennis Allen heading into the 2022-2023 season. The Saints had a serious lack of depth last season at the wide receiver position, so adding plenty of new weapons for Jameis to throw to was important in building a successful team. With star running back Alvin Kamara unlikely to be suspended in the 2022-20223 season due to an offseason fight in Las Vegas, There is even more reason to be optimistic about the Saints 2022-2023 outlook.
New Orleans Saints 2022-2023 Season Win Total Bet
The bookmakers have set the Saints win total for the 2022-2023 season at 8.5. The Saints surpassed this number last year with nine wins even without Jameis for half the season. Lets not forget, the Saints star wide receiver Michael Thomas played zero snaps last season as well. This Saints team has been built on their defense which will once again be one of the best defenses in the NFL. Now the Saints are finally healthy and have added some new weapons at their disposal. I will back the Saints to finish the season over 8.5 wins. This Saints team is talented enough for a double-digit win season. Over 8.5 wins, Lock it in.
