The Baltimore Ravens are excited to prove a lot of people wrong after losing in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Quarterback Lamar Jackson was dealing with a stomach virus earlier this week but returned to practice on Wednesday. There are a lot of expectations for the two-time NFL MVP to really step up and play well during the postseason.
The Baltimore Ravens have been dealing with an annual sickness from their starting quarterback but there are a lot of expectations for the team despite losing so much talent during the offseason. This team is going to be measured by how they do in the postseason after seeing how they have done throughout the regular season, but not able to convert it into playoff success.
What should the Baltimore Ravens expect from their team this season?
The Baltimore Ravens have been doing well but there was a lot of departures from this team. However, they were able to sign both running back Derrick Henry and safety Eddie Jackson to bolster their team. The team has been one of the teams that could go from worst to first in their division.
Below is their schedule as they have a lot of tough opponents, especially on the road in the 2024 NFL season:
- Week 1: at Kansas City Chiefs (Thursday)
- Week 2: vs. Las Vegas Raiders
- Week 3: at Dallas Cowboys
- Week 4: vs. Buffalo Bills
- Week 5: at Cincinnati Bengals
- Week 6: vs. Washington Commanders
- Week 7: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Monday)
- Week 8: at Cleveland Browns
- Week 9: vs. Denver Broncos
- Week 10: vs. Cincinnati Bengals (Thursday)
- Week 11: at Pittsburgh Steelers
- Week 12: at Los Angeles Chargers (Monday)
- Week 13: vs. Philadelphia Eagles
- Week 14: BYE WEEK
- Week 15: at New York Giants
- Week 16: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Saturday)
- Week 17: at Houston Texans (Wednesday, Christmas Day)
- Week 18: vs. Cleveland Browns
While Lamar Jackson has shown the ability to do extremely well during the regular season, his playoff numbers do not look great as the Ravens are 2-4 as a team and he has gone 112-of-195 (57.4%) for 1,324 yards with six touchdown passes and six interceptions while running 73 times for 521 yards (7.1 yards per carry) with three rushing touchdowns and six total fumbles.
The Baltimore Ravens are going to be in a good position but the AFC is going to be a lot tougher than people expect right now.
