The Green Bay Packers have been bitten by the injury bug to begin the season as they lost a few offensive pieces during the season-opening win against the Chicago Bears. It seems as if one of their biggest stars is going to be ruled out by the time the opening kickoff against the Atlanta Falcons happens.
Adam Schefter is reporting that Packers running back Aaron Jones is not expected to suit up against the Atlanta Falcons for their Week 2 matchup.
Packers’ RB Aaron Jones, listed as questionable for Sunday’s game due to a hamstring injury, is not expected to play vs. the Falcons, per sources. The Packers promoted RB Patrick Taylor from their practice squad Saturday.

The team is also expected to be without wide receiver Christian Watson and that will be tough for the offense to get going. The running game is going to depend on AJ Dillion, rookie Emmanuel Wilson and practice squad running back Patrick Taylor to keep the Falcons’ defense on their toes.
Can the Green Bay Packers still win without Aaron Jones?
The Packers are 1-0 and quarterback Jordan Love has a little more pressure on him as he will be without his two best skill position players. It is probably better safe than sorry with a hamstring injury as those can linger and getting it figured out and missing a game is better than missing multiple weeks down the line.
Green Bay did not run the ball too well in the opening contest last week as they only had 92 yards on 32 carries throughout the game. The team needs to get going and it seems as Love is going to have trouble in the passing game as Jones was the only Packer to have more than 50 receiving yards in the game.
This Atlanta team could be solid on both sides of the field against Green Bay and while the Packers still can win, DraftKings is listing them as two-point road underdogs 12 hours before kickoff. It will be tough but there definitely is a path to start the Jordan Love era with a 2-0 record.
