Garrett Wilson’s Spectacular One-Handed Touchdown
With the Jets trailing 10-7, early in the fourth quarter, quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw to Wilson in the corner of the end zone. Wilson launched himself into the air, stretching his right hand to secure the ball while somehow keeping his left shin inbounds. Though initially ruled incomplete, the play was overturned after a review to give the Jets an important touchdown. That was an unbelievable catch that instantly started to be compared to Odell Beckham Jr.’s famous grab; it was celebrated throughout the NFL community. Aaron Rodgers Leads Second-Half Comeback.
After a scoreless first half, Rodgers found his rhythm by completing 22 of 32 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns. Most productive was his connection with wide receiver Wilson, who finished the game with nine receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the first three-touchdown game for Rodgers since joining the Jets and displayed the veteran leadership in him to lead the rallies for the team.
Jets’ Defense Dominate

The key to this win was New York’s defense, which grounded Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud eight times. One very instrumental Jets defensive lineman in this task was Quinnen Williams, who pressured Stroud all afternoon to help the Jets‘ defense click well. This relentless effort capped the Texans off with just 13 points and handed New York the win.
Texans Struggle Without Stefon Diggs

The Texans, with wide receiver Stefon Diggs out because of an ACL injury suffered the week before, struggled on offense. Stroud completed just 11 of 30 passes for 191 yards and lost a fumble. Running back Joe Mixon was a bright spot, rushing for 106 yards and a score on 24 carries, but his performance was not enough to dent the Jets’ defensive pressure.
Looking Ahead

With this triumph, the Jets go to 3-6 and keep their flagging playoff hopes alive. They will look to build on this momentum as they prepare to face the Arizona Cardinals next week. The Texans, at 6-3, regroup and work out their offensive struggles as they continue the season without Diggs.
That highlight-reel catch by Garrett Wilson earned the Jets an important, much-needed win and created one of those moments most people will remember for years to come. As the season continues, it’s now about fighting through problems that are keeping both teams from success in the highly competitive NFL world.
