The Houston Texans have been struggling throughout the first half of their Week 8 game against the New York Jets, but things could look worse as quarterback CJ Stroud was injured late in the second quarter. On third down, the Jets applied pressure on him and was sacked but Stroud was banged up as the medical staff came on the field to attend to him.
CJ Stroud was able to walk off the field on his own power but was limping. He struggled to get much going in the first half as he finished the first half going 8-of-16 for 115 yards as well as three carries for 19 yards (6.3 yards per attempt). Stroud is officially listed as questionable but took the final knee to get to halftime, which seemingly was good news.
This is the second straight week that the starting quarterback against the New York Jets was injured as Drake Maye suffered a concussion on Sunday.
We will update this article if more news comes out.
