The college football world took a massive hit on Saturday, with Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jordan Travis going down with a gruesome injury against North Alabama. The medical cart came out for Travis as the Heisman front-runner sat in excruciating pain.

Florida State Seminoles QB Jordan Travis: Looking at Career Altering Injury
There is no easy way to say it, but the injury Jordan Travis suffered on Saturday night could have career-altering ramifications. Travis’ leg contorted unnaturally, almost guaranteeing a broken leg while also compromising the structure of his ligaments. The injury is reminiscent of former teammate McKenzie Milton’s broken leg. Milton starred for the UCF Knights from 2016-2018 but suffered a broken leg that sidelined him until 2021 when he became a member of the Seminoles. Former NFL Pro-Bowler Alex Smith also suffered a gruesome leg injury similar to that sustained by Travis on Saturday. Smith missed nearly two calendar years before returning to the gridiron. Like Milton, Smith struggled mightily to return to form post-injury.
Florida State Seminoles: Undefeated Season in Jeopardy
The Florida State Seminoles must quickly find a solution to the Jordan Travis news, especially if they want to stay undefeated and in the mix for the College Football Playoff. The Seminoles will travel to Gainsville to take on the Florida Gators next Saturday before finishing the regular season by hosting the top-ranked Louisville Cardinals. Quarterback Tate Rodemaker went in for the injured Travis on Saturday. Rodemaker joined Florida State as a freshman in 2020 and is 43-of-70 for 550 yards and five touchdowns entering Week 12. He has also thrown five interceptions. The Georgia native will get tasked with taking over a 10-0 Florida State team that sits at No. 4 in the latest College Football Playoff standings.
