CBS is the network that gets the privilege to broadcast Super Bowl LVIII between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs. Well, CBS took advantage of the spotlight and started off the broadcast with a memorable introduction. Read below to find out more about it.
CBS Uses Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” in Introduction
CBS had an introduction that was just over four minutes long. Throughout the introduction, you could hear Frank Sinatra’s “My Way” being played. A song with the theme of the end being near is only fitting for the final NFL game of the season.
If that was not enough, CBS edited together several interviews done with players on both the 49ers and the Chiefs. All of the players reflected on how they got to this point in their careers. Plus, CBS interviewed several family members of the players and asked them to talk about their association with the players and how they view them.
Fans React to Super Bowl LVIII Intro
Many fans were moved and impressed by this introduction. Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team had “chills” watching this. Here is what other fans had to say about it:
“This intro would have hit differently with Lamar.”
“Love watching them reflect on how they got to this moment.”
“Very nice…”
“This was dope.”
“This may be the best Super Bowl intro ever.. I’ve seen them all but this one was different. Well done.”
