College football has brought crazy times the past few days, from the selection of the college football playoffs to North Carolina hiring Bill Belichick as its next head coach.
It was a shock that North Carolina hired Belichick, as there were rumors last week that he had interviewed for the job. However, it is funny that the man who might be the greatest football coach of all time is coaching a school known for basketball.
The Tar Heels are one of the top five basketball teams in the sport’s history, and football comes in a distant second there, but it could be changing after what happened on the basketball court last week.
Alabama went to North Carolina for an ACC/SEC matchup, and the Crimson Tide ran the Tar Heels off the court, which is ironic since Alabama is a football school. Still, maybe they are becoming a basketball school while North Carolina is now a football one.
