The former President of the United States Donald Trump recently tried to purchase the Buffalo Bills NFL team. It is reported that Trump tried to buy the team back in 2014 after facing a case on his recent insurance fraud. He and the Trump Organization bid $1 billion to purchase the team.
A former Deutsche Bank executive testified at Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial in New York on Wednesday that the bank had balked at extending him a line of credit to help in his unsuccessful bid to buy the Buffalo Bills, according to ABC News. https://t.co/V1J0hpA95Z

Donald Trump’s Failed Attempt
The problem was that the former President needed a bank to help finance the acquisition. According to ABC News, “Deutsche Bank was not willing to increase its credit exposure to Donald Trump at that time.” Even though the bank denied Trump, they still sent a “Letter of support” for his bid on the Bills. He was ultimately denied from purchasing the NFL team due to not having a bank to help him out.
The NFL world quickly took to Twitter after this news was revealed, and many fans even thanked the bank for preventing Trump from being involved in the National Football League. The falsified finance records in the bid for the team can bring legal action against the former President.
Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills have gotten off to a 3-2 start to the 2023 season after dropping games to the New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars. They have amounted to 1,952 total yards and 19 touchdowns. In the games they have won, they have dominated their opponent.
If Trump ended up being successful in purchasing the team, the NFL world would have been in shock. It would certainly bring much more controversy to the league and would most likely have fans of the home team boycotting the organization. Luckily for the Bills, they do not have anything to worry about anymore.
