The Detroit Lions held their last practice of the week on Friday and will now travel to California for their first ever NFC Championship game versus the San Francisco 49ers. The Lions are currently dealing with injuries on both sides of the ball, but getting this All-Pro in the lineup will give their offense a boost heading into the biggest game of the last 3 decades for Detroit.
All-Pro Center Frank Ragnow is Expected to Play in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game
Lions center Frank Ragnow, who was named a second team All-Pro by the Associated Press is expected to play in the NFC Championship game versus San Francisco. Ragnow suffered a sprained knee and sprained ankle in last weeks divisional round versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was able to play through the pain and finish the contest.
Ragnow was listed on the injury report this week with multiple injuries to his knee, ankle, back and toe, but was seen on the practice field today logging participation.

When asked in an interview about Ragnow’s progression and availability for Sunday’s game, Head Coach Dan Campbell showed confidence that his All-Pro center was not going to miss this game saying, “he’ll be ready”.
Left Guard Jonah Jackson Listed as Doubtful for Sunday’s Game with Knee Injury
Left guard Jonah Jackson, who did not practice all week due to a minor meniscus tear that he needed surgery for is listed as doubtful for Sunday’s NFC Championship game versus the 49ers. Jackson suffered this injury in last week’s divisional round versus Tampa Bay and was not able to return to the game. With Jackson likely on the sidelines, the Lions offensive front will need to step up and fill that hole.

Will Friday’s practice wrapped up, Detroit will now head to San Francisco to take on the 49ers in their first NFC Championship game in over 30 years. Coverage will begin at 6:30 PM Eastern time at Levi’s Stadium on FOX.
