What are the Denver Broncos doing in their coaching search?
Over the weekend, more answers were revealed regarding the direction of the Broncos’ decision. For starters, it was reported that 49ers DC DeMeco Ryans is no longer interested in the Denver job, instead shifting his focus to the Houston Texans job.
Rumors: #49ers DC DeMeco Ryans is no longer interested in the #Broncos HC job, per @RapSheet
He appears to be the #1 candidate for the #Texans HC job, where he used to play.

Moreover, Dan Quinn returned to the Dallas Cowboys, and no second interview is scheduled for Sean Payton. As far as the other candidates, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the following:
Rams DC Raheem Morris, former Stanford coach David Shaw, former Lions and Colts coach Jim Caldwell and Broncos DC Ejiro Evero interviewed for the job, but all were told this week the team was going another direction.
Pelissero and Rapoport also reported that the Broncos ownership took a trip to Ann Arbor to meet with Jim Harbaugh. Yes, the same Harbaugh who announced he would return to Michigan and backed out of the NFL rumors.
Broncos owner and CEO Greg Penner flew to Ann Arbor, Mich., this week to meet in person with Jim Harbaugh about the team’s head coaching job, according to sources informed of their situation.
As of now, it seems that all of the top names the Denver Broncos had been interested in are gone unless they can somehow shell out enough cash to convince Jim Harbaugh to leave Michigan.
A few other candidates are Cincinnati Bengals OC Brian Callahan and Philadelphia Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon, both of whom are coaching in conference title games on Sunday.
If Broncos can’t/don’t want Sean Payton and/or DeMeco Ryans they must expand their search.
A few names to keep an eye on are Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon and Bengals OC Brian Callahan. Broncos interviewed both last year and are hot HC candidates.

For some reason, the Denver Broncos coaching search has shrunk quickly, and nobody knows what is going to happen.
