It is the time of year where the NFL has many open head coaching positions. Every year a handful of teams are looking for a new person to lead the team on the field. One of those teams is the Denver Broncos. After firing Nathaniel Hackett before he completed his first year, the Broncos are once again in the hunt for a head coach. While some favorites have named, one sleeper candidate has emerged for the Broncos head coach opening, David Shaw.
If Sean Payton is too pricey, keep an eye on David Shaw for the @broncos head coaching gig.
I know Condi loves him.

Broncos Head Coaching Position: David Shaw?
David Shaw left his head coaching position at Stanford this season. The reason some think he might be a sleeper candidate is because of his relationship with a minority owner of the Broncos. Condoleezza Rice became a minority owner last year and has many connections with Stanford. She is currently the director of Stanford’s Hoover Institution and served as the provost from 1993-1999.

OC Position A Possibility Too
Even if Shaw is not chosen for the Broncos head coaching position, there is a great chance that he could become the offensive coordinator. The Broncos co-owner Greg Penner and his wife Carrie also have degrees from Stanford so it seems like everyone wants Shaw to be in the organization somehow. It would be a good hire for the Broncos. Shaw brought a lot of success to the Stanford program and would be a steady hand for a Broncos organization that saw some chaos this year.

The Broncos need to get this one right. Hackett was a disaster and the team needs to be better next year in all facets of the game. Keep an eye on David Shaw. Chances are he will be a part of the Broncos organization one way or another.
