It has been an offseason to forget so far for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. Top recruits have decommitted from the program. Starting players have entered the transfer portal. The offensive coordinator also left for another position and it seems that another coach may be on the way out. It was reported that defensive ends coach Nick Wiliams is moving on from the program.
Hearing Colorado defensive ends coach Nick Williams is moving on from the program. He is one of the best recruiters in the country and an up-and-comer on the field. A Peach State native, the 33-year old Williams played his college football at Georgia.

Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes To Lose Nick Williams?
Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports was the first to report this. Williams is a Georgia native who is a young up-and-coming coach. His greatest skill is one that Colorado would desperately miss, recruiting. As the program is attempting to bring in high-level recruits, losing another coach, especially one with recruiting prowess is not great. While Sanders has expressed loyalty to Colorado, it seems that his coaches are not sharing the same sentiment.
A Long Offseason
This is the time of the year when it seems no team is getting good news. Whether it is recruits decommitting after a bowl game loss or players flooding the transfer portal, there isn’t much good happening. However, Colorado is in a unique position. They are the most talked about 4-8 team in the nation. Sanders is a polarizing figure and there is definitely pressure to improve on this year’s result.
Will Colorado be able to recover from this week? Most likely yes. There is a lot of work to do but I’m sure that Sanders will recruit the transfer portal heavily and have his team ready for 2024.
