Deion Sanders is on a hot streak for the Colorado Buffaloes. In the past three days, he has gotten four new offensive linemen for the program including the number one overall tackle in the 2024 class. Then, he nabbed a four-star wide receiver in the 2024 class. Sanders has done it again by grabbing another offensive weapon, former Cincinnati tight end Chamon Metayer, out of the transfer portal.

Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes Get TE Chamon Metayer
Metayer is a huge presence on the field. At 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, he is a dominant force on the field. His stat line may not jump off the page but 23 catches for 258 yards and five touchdowns is a solid season. Where Metayer excels is in the blocking game. The offensive line could not block anyone last season. While the offensive line has been a big part of the offseason, this move also helps the run game and the pass protection. Metayer can block and can also be a huge red-zone target.
Gaining Steam
The Colorado program is gaining steam this offseason. After a flurry of decommits and transfers, Sanders flipped the offseason narrative. The excitement is back as recruits and transfers come into the program and talk about how excited they are to take the field in Boulder. Colorado moves to the Big 12 so they will have new competition next season and many new faces on the field. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders has to be happy with the new weapons that will be coming into the program.
Can Deion Sanders keep the momentum going? He has had an amazing couple of days and is likely working hard to secure more talent for the program.
