Deion Sanders has a clear plan for the beginning of the offseason for the Colorado Buffaloes, fix the offensive line. So far, he is absolutely nailing it. Days after landing the top offensive tackle of the 2024 class and hours after landing Yakiri Walker from the transfer portal, Sanders struck again. Former Houston offensive lineman Tyler Johnson announced he is heading to Colorado.

Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes Land Tyler Johnson
Johnson posted a picture of him and Coach Prime on X early this afternoon. He is a former four-star recruit from the class of 2019. This brings a great upperclassman presence to the Buffaloes something that is desperately needed. In the last couple of days, Sanders has gotten three new offensive linemen. The team was second to last in sacks given up last season so it is vital that the team figures out how to protect Shedeur Sanders.
More To Come?
The good news for Sanders and the program is that once one person commits, others take notice. Players want to play where they can be successful. If other players are committing, it makes the destination more attractive. While people can question some things about Sanders, there is no doubt that he can give one heck of a recruiting pitch.
This is just the beginning of the offseason and I’m sure Sanders and his staff aren’t done. Once the craziness of the portal settles down it will be interesting to see where this team stands.
