Dalvin Cook has not quite had the season that he would have envisioned after being released by the Minnesota Vikings in June of last year, signing with the Aaron Rodgers-led New York Jets and having his new star QB go down in historic fashion after only 4 offensive snaps.

Since then, both he and the Jets have struggled mightily. Dalvin Cook has just 214 yards on the season, despite the fact that first choice back, Breece Hall, was coming off an ACL tear last year. Recently, 5th round rookie, Israel Abanikanda, overtook Cook for the backup running back role.
In fact, Cook’s season got so bad, that even in a 17 point loss to the Cleveland Browns, the Jets did not give the former 4 x Pro Bowler a single touch the entire game. Yet, still at the in-prime (ish) age of 28, Dalvin Cook has wasted no time joining a team that he believes has both a role for him and a genuine chance to win a Super Bowl ring, per Adam Schefter.

Dalvin Cook’s New Role At The Baltimore Ravens
Do not be mistaken; it is unlikely that Dalvin Cook will enter the Ravens a la Christian McCaffrey to the Niners, and immediately be expected to step in as their number one back.
However, in a team that has been missing their lead back, J.K. Dobbins, since an Achilles tear ended his season prematurely in Week 1, and subsequently losing rising star, Keaton Mitchell on December 17, Cook has the opportunity to go in and compete for not an insignificant amount of touches.

Going against power-back Gus Edwards, third down back, Justice Hill, and veteran Latavius Murray, Cook is joining a solid, but unspectacular running back group that could use Cook’s dynamic playmaking ability that saw him post 4 consecutive 1,000 yard rushing seasons from 2019-2022.
Let’s see if the Ravens can reignite the spark within Dalvin Cook, and if Cook can help the Ravens win their third Super Bowl ring.
