The Baltimore Ravens revealed Sunday afternoon that they believe running back J.K. Dobbins sustained a serious injury during their Week 1 contest against the Houston Texans. Dobbins was seen being helped to the locker room with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
The initial diagnosis does not look good for the Ravens 2020 second-round pick.
Baltimore Ravens believe J.K. Dobbins tore his Achilles
According to Ian Rapoport with the NFL Network, it is believed Dobbins sustained a torn Achilles. Dobbins will undergo an MRI to confirm the injury.
#Ravens RB JK Dobbins is feared to have suffered a torn Achilles, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. A crushing injury. He’ll have an MRI to confirm.

Dobbins has had a bad run of injuries over the previous few seasons. He suffered a torn ACL before the 2021 season started and spent several weeks on injured reserve last season with a knee injury.
A torn Achilles conformation would kill any hopes of Dobbins playing another game this season. It takes around 11 months for an NFL player to return to the playing field after suffering an Achilles injury.
