The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a controversial and very close win against one of the other top teams in the NFC, the Detroit Lions. Defensive superstar and up and coming legend Micah Parsons has been sounding off all year about many different topics in the NFL on X and with his new podcast The Edge.
Micah has been commenting on many storie lines around the NFL, sometimes even just a few hours after his own games. This week he took to the media to support and praise his fellow teammate CeeDee Lamb, who has been having the best season of his young career by far. This is a very appropriate time to give the receiver his flowers.
CeeDee broke a Cowboys record against Detroit, arguably having the best game of his career with 13 catches for 227 yards and a touchdown. He was the only one to get the Dallas team going offensively and was probably the most important factor in them winning that game.
Dallas Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Calls CeeDee Lamb The Best In The NFL
Micah took to the media to praise his teammate and in his mind Lamb is the best at the position in the league. In a recent episode on his podcast, Micah expressed his views on why Lamb is the best, and that it is quite underrated with the amount of amazing receivers in the league, we can forget about how dominant Lamb is. Micah was quoted saying:
“The best receiver in the NFL,” Parsons said of Lamb. “Not top five, not top three, he’s top two [and] not two. He probably should be Offensive Player of the Year. CeeDee Lamb, congratulations brother. You’re truly showing why you’re the No. 1.”
Although Tyreek Hill and AJ Brown have clearly been amazing at many points during the year, as the regular season comes to a close, if we take a closer look, Micah may be right. CeeDee’s stats definitely back up Micah’s statements as when you look at what he has been able to accomplish this year, CeeDee has had the best season at the position.
The only argument to be had is comparing his season with Tyreek, but because of Hills injury, CeeDee will end the year with the best stats at the position. Lamb is leading the entire league in catches this year with 122, and he is second only to Hill in yards with 1651. He is also top three in touchdown receptions with 10.
The Cowboys will need Lamb’s amazing regular season to trickle into the post season, as they have not had much post season success in previous decades. But the fact still remains, that although Lamb may not be the most talented at the position, his stats back up Micah’s claim, that this year he has been the best in the league. Micah also thinks big Money is coming to the Cowboys receiver soon saying:
“CeeDee is still here,” Parsons said. “He just continues to get better. And he’s having the year of his life and he’s going to have a big pay day coming soon.”
