The Dallas Cowboys disappointingly ended their season earlier this month with an embarrassing blowout loss to the Green Bay Packers during Super Wild Card Weekend. However, Dallas did go 12-5, winning the NFC East and finishing tied for the best record in the conference. The accolades continue to pour in for the best team in the division, with three Cowboys earning a Pro Bowl nod on Tuesday. Per Jon Machota of The Athletic, tight end Jake Ferguson, edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence, and guard Tyler Smith have been marked as Pro Bowl replacements.

Dallas Cowboys: Three Players Earn Pro Bowl Nod
Jake Ferguson, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Tyler Smith will head to Orlando for the Pro Bowl, barring they don’t opt out. Ferguson, a fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, stepped into a starting role this season with the loss of Dalton Schultz to the Houston Texans. Ferguson excelled, catching 71 passes for 761 yards and five touchdowns. He went for 93 yards and three scores in his team’s loss to the Green Bay Packers during the postseason.
Meanwhile, Lawrence and Smith also had stellar seasons. Lawrence, a now four-time Pro-Bowler, collected 50 tackles, four sacks, and ten TFLs in 17 games. His sack numbers continue to slip, but Dallas finished with the 5th ranked defense regarding points per game allowed. Smith played 14 games for the Cowboys at offensive guard. Dallas finished in the top ten regarding points scored and yards gained. Smith has already obtained second-team All-Pro honors.
Cowboys: Ten Pro Bowlers in 2023
As of Tuesday, ten Cowboys gained Pro Bowl recognition in 2023. Six other Cowboys achieved the distinction outside Dak Prescott, DeMarcus Lawrence, Tyler Smith, and Jake Ferguson. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, guard Zack Martin, linebacker Micah Parsons, punter Bryan Anger, kicker Brandon Aubrey, and corner DaRon Bland made the all-star game. Martin leads the way with his ninth career Pro Bowl nod.
However, Lamb and Bland headline the group. Lamb led the league with 135 receptions, going for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Bland posted a ludicrous nine interceptions, five of which he returned for a touchdown.
