The Dallas Cowboys could really use more help on the offensive end, and if he’s made available, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs could be an intriguing option for Mike McCarthy’s men.
With the Cowboys having Stefon’s younger brother in Trevon Diggs, there could be an opportunity for Dallas to keep the star wideout on a friendlier deal in hopes of staying with his family in Big D.
Why the Dallas Cowboys Need To Trade for Stefon Diggs
The Cowboys had a Top 5 offense in 2023, but who doesn’t want to improve? Getting a player like Diggs could be huge for them, especially if they want to finally end their Super Bowl drought.
Giving Dak Prescott more weapons to operate should only help ensure more consistency from the team moving forward. Imagine a wideout triumvirate of CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and Diggs. That would be the ultimate pick-your-poison pill.
Diggs tallied another 1000-yard reception season in 2023, finishing with 107 receptions for 1183 yards and eight touchdowns.
In a recent article by Bleacher Report, the publication dived more on the idea, noting that it could very well be a deal that could reshape in the NFL in 2024.
In this case, the cap-strapped Buffalo Bills could decide to finally move on from star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who has on several occasions appeared disgruntled in the last year and is coming off a slightly disappointing season.
And if so, the increasingly desperate Dallas Cowboys could be willing to take Diggs off Buffalo’s hands via a trade that would likely have to go down after June 1 for salary-cap reasons.
In Dallas, Diggs would be joining his younger brother, Trevon, so there’s a chance he’d be willing to work out a new, team-friendlier deal with the ‘Boys. That would be huge, as would his presence for a squad that was easily one of the best in football but again fell flat in the playoffs this past season.
Of course it’s unknown so far what it will take for the Cowboys to acquire Diggs from the Bills, but it’s certainly something worth exploring.
Will the Buffalo Bills Trade Stefon Diggs?
Now, the bigger issue is if the Buffalo Bills would actually want to trade Stefon Diggs. According to recent reports, Diggs isn’t expected to ask for a trade and remains committed to the team.
Nonetheless, considering that Diggs has expressed his dissatisfaction with the team before, it’s possible he changes his mind. The Bills might be more motivated to move him in such scenario as well since they can’t risk having an unhappy player on the roster.
A Diggs trade has been floated around before. With that said, it’s not really far-fetched for the Dallas Cowboys to get a chance to explore a Diggs deal.

And when things go wrong. Enjoy you’ll have two to fight with blowing up your defense and offense. Sounds good on paper but, is it?
Yeah this won’t happen. If the Bills were to trade Diggs they would have 22 mil in dead cap for the 2025 season. That makes it very unlikely and not really worth discussing.
Way to ignore logistics of a trade on this. The bills would have massive dead cap and wouldn’t want to trade him
