The Dallas Cowboys are one of the biggest disappointments of the 2024 NFL season. After winning 12 games in each of their last three seasons, Dallas is just 3-6 and will be without Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott (hamstring injury) for the rest of the year. Their latest loss, a 34-6 drubbing at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles, was just the latest embarrassment in what has been a dreadful season.
Among the frustrations from the loss was this particular miscue on what could have been a touchdown reception by All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb:
CeeDee Lamb on not catching the potential touchdown pass from Cooper rush in the sun:
“I couldn’t see.”
Are you in favor of curtains in AT&T stadium?

As one can see, Lamb did not make the catch because the sun shining through the windows of AT&T stadium blinded him. After the game, Lamb stated that he would be “1000%” in favor of team owner Jerry Jones installing curtains over the windows for games such as the loss to the Eagles.
It was a notion Jones was not happy with.
Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Went Viral of a Weird Rant Against Curtains at AT&T Stadium
After the game, Jones was talking to reporters and became visibly frustrated when the topic of the sun shining through the windows and how it impacted his players came up.
He then went on to say, “By the way, we know where the sun is going to be when we decide to flip the coin or not. We do know where the d— sun is going to be in our own stadium.”
When asked if he would consider putting curtains up, Jones ranted, “Well let’s tear the d— stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me?
“Everybody has got the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same issues. I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”
It was truly a very odd rant, one that led to a great deal of jokes at his expense on social media.
But when fans saw what was hung over the windows at AT&T Stadium for the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, they became absolutely furious.
Dallas Cowboys Fans Are Furious with Jerry Jones After Curtains Were Hung Over the Windows for the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson Fight
On Friday night, AT&T Stadium is the site of the first ever boxing match being livestreamed on Netflix. It is the highly anticipated bout between boxing legend Mike Tyson and YouTube content creator turned boxer Jake Paul.
Despite the fight happening long after the sun went down, there are curtains covering the same windows that allowed the sun to blind Cowboys players on Sunday.
And fans are furious:

It will be interesting to hear Jones’ explanation for using curtains during a night-time event and not during a game his team absolutely needed to win in order to save their season played in the middle of the day when the sun was shining its brightest.
One really has to feel for Cowboys fans.
