The Dallas Cowboys picked the worst time of the year to not show up to play. They were amazing all year when playing at home and that all was meaningless as they got stomped by the Green Bay Packers 48-32, and the game was never even close.
Jerry Jones was visibly furious after the game and in shock as the Cowboys season is over. No one was expecting this and for Dallas this is one of the most embarrassing losses by any team in recent years. Jerry was even seen to have given up on the team at half time after Dak Prescott threw a pick-6 to go down 27-0.
Jones was seen visibly pissed after the game and brutally shocked by how the season ended. He was quoted saying:
“I don’t have any comments, questions or answers on why we didn’t do what we wanted to do tonight,” Jones told reporters, per NFL Network’s Clayton Holloway. “I won’t get into any of the addressing of coaches, personnel, any of it.”
Jones was “floored” and was still processing what just happened as is the rest of the NFL world.
Dallas Cowboys’ Jerry Jones In Shock
Jerry Jones was seen after and during the game in disbelief as his Cowboys could not manage to ever get in the game against the youngest roster in the NFL. While Jones refused to comment on many moves they will make in the off season, he was candid about how he felt in that moment. Jones was quoted saying:
“This seems like the most painful [playoff loss] because we all had such great expectation and we had hope for this team,”
Jones continued by saying:
“This is beyond my comprehension.”
This loss was that bad, as the Packers just sneaked into the playoffs and then absolutely demolished the Cowboys in all fazes of the game. There was also clearly coaching mismatch as Matt LaFluer was clearly putting his players in a much better position than Mike McCarthy.
Is Jerry Jones pissed enough to move off of Mike McCarthy for next season as Bill Belichick, the greatest head coach ever is now available. A loss like this is enough to move on from the head coach as this was brutal of the highest order. Dallas had played excellent all year especially at home, just to come up so flat. Jerry has a right to be fuming about this as this is the worst loss he has seen in recent memory.
No matter if Jerry Goes for Belichick or not, this loss is sure to be painful for that franchise for a long time to come. Now it is still super fresh, but as the off season goes in it would be shocking if Jerry does not make a move at coach after such an awful collapse.
